What are you afraid of?
2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
~ God’s reality regarding the devil: God allows us to be tested ~
Mark 1:9-13
9 At that time Jesus
came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw
heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11 And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I
love; with you I am well pleased.”
12 At once the Spirit
sent him out into the wilderness, 13 and he
was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted[g] by Satan.
He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.
The
God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our
Lord Jesus be with you.
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your
offspring[a] and hers;
he will crush[b] your head, and you will strike his heel.” – Genesis 3:15 (God to the serpent)
he will crush[b] your head, and you will strike his heel.” – Genesis 3:15 (God to the serpent)
Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you,
the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will
suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I
will give you life as your victor’s crown.
