What are you afraid
of?
2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
~ God’s reality regarding the devil: He
tempts us to be relevant ~
Matthew 4:1-4
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The
tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to
become bread.” 4 Jesus
answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word
that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”
What are you hungry for? Power, position, importance, a name, etc. When you are hungry for something that is the
time the enemy comes to tempt you.
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you.
1 John 3:7-9
7 Dear
children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is
righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 The one who does what is
sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning.
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 9 No
one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in
them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.
